Thanksgiving is almost here, and let’s be real—kids can sometimes feel like they’re on the sidelines while the grown-ups are elbow-deep in mashed potatoes and pie dough. 🥧🙃 That’s why I love making them a big part of the day!

Each of my kids gets to create or cook one of the side dishes, which not only keeps them involved but also turns them into mini chefs for the day. 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳 Whether it’s mac and cheese, green bean casserole, or even buttering the rolls, it’s their masterpiece.

And the best part? 🎉 Each child gets their very own “mini turkey”—a perfectly cooked Cornish game hen. 🐔🍽️ They LOVE having their own “personal turkey,” and the way their faces light up when they see it is the highlight of the meal. 🌟 It’s the little things like this that make Thanksgiving truly magical!

What about you? What fun traditions do you have to make the day extra special for the kiddos? 🥧🎶
