Buzz into spring with these easy, fun, and festive crafts your kiddos will love!
April is the perfect time to let your creativity bloom! With spring in the air and rainy days still hanging around, crafting is a great way to keep little hands busy and imaginations buzzing 🐝🌧️🌷
☔ 1. April Showers Umbrella Craft
Materials:
Paper plate
Blue construction paper
Cotton balls
Glue
Scissors
String or yarn
Tape
Markers/crayons
Instructions:
Cut the paper plate in half — this is your umbrella!
Let kids decorate it however they like.
Cut out little raindrops from blue paper.
Tape string to the back of the plate and glue raindrops to the strings.
Add cotton ball “clouds” on the top for extra fluff!
🐥 2. Handprint Chick Craft
Materials:
Yellow paint
Googly eyes
Orange construction paper
White cardstock or canvas
Glue
Instructions:
Paint your child’s hand yellow and press it onto the paper to make a handprint.
Once dry, add googly eyes and a small orange beak and feet cut from construction paper.
Add a cute message like “You Crack Me Up!” 🐣
🦋 3. Spring Butterfly Sponge Painting
Materials:
Sponges
Paint in spring colors
Paper
Butterfly template (or draw your own)
Scissors
Instructions:
Cut sponges into small shapes or use fun stamps.
Let kids sponge-paint the paper however they like.
Once dry, cut the paper into butterfly shapes using your template.
Add a pipe cleaner for antennae and display your spring flutter friends!
🌼 4. Paper Plate Flower Garden
Materials:
Paper plates
Green pipe cleaners or straws
Tissue paper or colored paper
Glue
Scissors
Instructions:
Cut out circles or flower shapes from tissue paper.
Glue them onto the paper plate in a fun garden layout.
Use pipe cleaners or straws as stems!
Hang it in a window to bring the spring indoors!
