Basic Slime Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup of white school glue

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 tablespoons saline solution (must contain boric acid and sodium borate)

Food coloring (optional)

Glitter (optional)

Instructions:

Mix Glue and Baking Soda:

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Stir until the baking soda is fully dissolved in the glue.

Add Color and Glitter:

If you want to add color to your slime, mix in a few drops of food coloring until you achieve your desired shade. You can also add glitter for extra sparkle.

Add Saline Solution:

Add 2 tablespoons of saline solution to the mixture. Stir well. The slime will start to form almost immediately. Continue stirring until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

Knead the Slime:

Take the slime out of the bowl and knead it with your hands. If it’s too sticky, add a few more drops of saline solution and continue kneading.

Play and Store:

Once the slime is smooth and stretchy, it’s ready to play with! Store it in an airtight container to keep it from drying out.

 Buzz’s Tips:

Saline Solution: Ensure your saline solution contains boric acid and sodium borate, as these are the activators that turn the glue into slime.

Texture Adjustment: If the slime is too sticky, add a bit more saline solution. If it’s too rubbery, add a little more glue.

This recipe is easy and safe for kids, providing endless fun and creativity.
