It’s SUN-Day on a Saturday at Garden Of The Gods Park. We’ll set up our special solar observing telescopes at the Visitor and Nature Center from 9 am to Noon on Saturday, July 12th to share some unique views of our nearest star, the Sun! Join us for our 2025 Moth Night Series at Cheyenne Mountain State Park!

We'll be using lights to mainly attract moths. We scheduled these events during times we expect to be able to find silk moths, and a variety of sphinx moths.

But! We'll also find beetles, scorpions, centipedes, solifugae, a variety of spiders, and more!

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about these creatures, as well as take some awesome photos.

All of the events will start at 8:30PM. The park says we can stay as late as we'd like.

This is a free, and open to the public program. Every vehicle entering the park must have a State Parks pass, though. If you don't have an annual pass, you can purchase a daily pass for $12. There is a self service station beside the entrance station where you can buy a daily pass using a credit/debit card.

For people with autism or sensory processing disorders the Aquarium Exhibits can be a bit overwhelming. Join us on a special morning when we open early and turn down the ambient sounds so you and your family can enjoy the aquarium in a calmer and more quiet setting.
