Looking for a fun way to keep little hands busy while celebrating the red, white, and blue? These bee-lightful DIY 4th of July crafts are simple, festive, and totally adorable. Whether you’re throwing a backyard BBQ, hosting a neighborhood party, or just keeping things low-key, these patriotic projects will bring the sparkle. ✂️✨


🖐️ Craft Ideas:

  1. Paper Plate Flag Fans 🇺🇸
    Cool down in style! Cut a paper plate in half, paint it like the American flag, and glue on a popsicle stick handle. Boom—insta-fan!

  2. Rocket Streamers 🎇
    Turn a toilet paper roll into a shooting star with red, white, and blue paper. Add streamers for that fireworks feel!

  3. Star-Spangled Wreath 🌟
    Arrange felt stars in a ring and glue them to a cardboard circle for a front-door display that screams “USA!”

  4. Patriotic Wand Wavers 🎆
    Attach foam stars to wooden dowels, then tie ribbon streamers in red, white, and blue. Great for parades or pretend play!

🧤 1. Paper Plate Flag Fans 🇺🇸

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper plates (cut in half)

  • Red, white, and blue paint or markers

  • Paintbrushes

  • White star stickers or white paint & Q-tips

  • Popsicle sticks

  • Glue or tape

Instructions:

  1. Cut a paper plate in half.

  2. Paint the top section blue with white stars (stickers or paint dots).

  3. Paint red and white stripes on the bottom half.

  4. Once dry, glue or tape a popsicle stick to the back as a handle.

  5. Wave away the summer heat in patriotic style! 🌞🇺🇸


🚀 2. Rocket Streamers 🎇

Supplies Needed:

  • Empty toilet paper roll

  • Red, white, and blue construction paper

  • Streamers or crepe paper

  • Glue stick or tape

  • Scissors

  • Hole punch and string (optional for hanging)

  • Star stickers or white marker

Instructions:

  1. Cover the toilet paper roll with red paper.

  2. Cut a circle from blue paper, cut one slit, then form it into a cone and tape it on top as the rocket cap.

  3. Add star stickers or draw white stars on the red roll.

  4. Cut streamers into 8-10” lengths and glue them inside the bottom of the roll.

  5. Punch a hole at the top and tie a string if you want to hang it. 🚀✨


🌟 3. Star-Spangled Wreath 🌟

Supplies Needed:

  • Red, white, and blue foam or felt sheets

  • Scissors

  • Hot glue gun or craft glue

  • Cardboard ring base (cut from a cereal box!)

Instructions:

  1. Cut out a large circle (about 8–10″) from cardboard, then cut out the center to create a ring.

  2. Cut out lots of stars from red, white, and blue felt/foam.

  3. Glue the stars around the ring, overlapping slightly.

  4. Let dry, hang with ribbon or prop on the table! 🎉🇺🇸


✨ 4. Patriotic Wand Wavers 🧚‍♀️

Supplies Needed:

  • Wooden dowels or skewers (sanded smooth)

  • Red, white, and blue foam or felt stars

  • Red, white, and blue curling ribbon or fabric strips

  • Hot glue gun or strong craft glue

Instructions:

  1. Glue one foam/felt star to the top of each dowel.

  2. Cut ribbons into 12” pieces and glue or tie them below the star.

  3. Add a second star to the back (sandwiching the dowel) if desired.

  4. Let kids wave them proudly at the parade or during fireworks! 🧨❤️💙
