Halloween is supposed to be a night of fun for every kid, but for children with food allergies (and there are a lot of them!), trick-or-treating can be stressful or even dangerous. Common treats often contain nuts, dairy, gluten, or other allergens that some kids can’t enjoy safely.

The Teal Pumpkin Project was created by FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) as a way to make Halloween more inclusive.
👉 When you place a teal pumpkin outside your house, it signals that you’re offering non-food treats — things like stickers, bubbles, glow sticks, pencils, or small toys. 🧩✨
That way, kids with food allergies (and even kids with special diets) can still take part in the fun without missing out. 🎉
